Most boats will run faster with the props turning outboard but will not handle as will. When docking remember to speed up the engine that is in reverse, that prop is less efficient.

so switch the throws, moving the cable from top to bottom, vice versa and switch props is all that I need to do.

this will give me some speed gains, top or bottom?

You sure on this? Talked to Fountain today about my toe in / out question, which lead to the question of in / out board rotation, their statement was that "in" was faster but some of the test drivers like the handling of "out" rotation better. Standard rule has always been that outboard rotation acts better around the dock, from there it depends on the hull itself.

On our race boat with staggered set up the boat likes inboard for handling, and rotates at the dock very well. Maybe side by side works different

Yep.

Suppose to be more top end with them spinning in, 1-2 mph??, but I seen no lose when I changed to spinning out.

I tried this on my 36 outlaw. 1 mph faster turning in, but around the docks its a pig. not worth the 1mph for the low speed handling.

Do most Fountains come with an in roation? For those that have changed to an out rotation, is there any negative other than a minimal loss?

None that can speak of.
Mine feels way more stable while running now. Once you go out, you won't go back in.
