night and day is right!!
had 93 non step 35 went to 2002 twins step,,
no comparison,,
super efficient hull on the 02 runs flat requires much less trim, rides nice and flat in the rough,
93 35 550hp per side 80 - 83 mph
02 35 stock 575's are about 550 hp = 90 +++

I know it runs flatter [ STEP BOTTOM ] but would you say as far as comfort are they about the same in rough water ? I'm in fact looking at a 93 boat not to concerned with top speed as much as the ride.

in every way its better with the twin step, comfort is a big part of that!!
i loved both boats,,
have you ran a boat like this at speed?
if not the reality is when it gets rough and you can still carry speed and keep it trimmed in and runnin flat you dont get pounded, same water same conditions i would be able to run the newer boat a bit faster and keep drives trimed out a tad and tabs down a tad and would rip over the top,,
old boat had more of a tendency to pop bow up and drop stern in the next hole, i would have to run it with more trim to keep speed and then tab down to keep it from flyin nutty,,
just my o2
i am not an expert just my observations,,,

The step will allow you to run fater and flatter thus making the ride more comfortable in this boat. In really big rough water there would be no difference but in a chop then yes.

Thanks to all, and I hope not to be disappointed but I think the 93 will better fit the budget better.Unless someone know of an early single step out there at good price. Thanks !

I had a 93 and loved it. The original owner bought it back from me cause he missed it.
