was JUST told now... by the fountain dealer selling the boat.he says it was send back to fountain and converted ...why would fountain use such a cheap carpet-like material...
i also thought for a moment that the motors are 454..weired valve covers... is there an engine code on them to confirm they are 500 hps ?

The boat looks like a hack! My 99 38 Fever is still for sale. Indy paint, Race fairing, Fresh 500hps, 2007 Manning triaxle trailer with drive guard and boxes. Lots of goodies and mint! Great looking! 109k

Looks more like a non factory conversion to me, way too far off. Some factory pieces mixed in with some home grown. But maybe someone asked for a poor/cheap job, though I doubt Fountain would cut that many corners and put their name on the work. Get the hull ID and call the factory.

The valve covers are the real old Merc Perf ones, back in the day of the old HP 450's n' such. The arestors have a builders name and says they are the perf 600 somethings, all kinds of non Merc stuf jumps out with just a quick look. Where would you get stock Merc out of that. It's priced way below the market if it's a clean straight up boat, which looks somewhat questionable. Dosen't mean it's not worth buying, just means you gotta know what you're doing and how much you're going to spend to get it where you think it needs to be for you.
Axa Powell mentioned mine to you a few days ago in your thread, if you want to persue that send me a PM on here and I will get back to you. It is exceptionally clean, as close to new as one could hope to find.
