the carbs in the 35 classic 2000' with 90 hours are clogged. the boat was used in 01' 02' and sat 5 years unused.
the owner sent them to the shop for rebuild and never picked them up. the shop has closed down.carbs are lost.
i believe the holley 850 cfm marine are the ones needed..but does anyone have a better carb setup for these motors that the are running ?? please share...
also ,what is the best props for this boat with this power ??
what pitch ?
labbed?
4 blade hydromotive ?
basically, what setup of carbs and props can be used to push the boat faster......
the props were also lost !

Check out the marine versions of the Barry Grant Demon series of carbs, would be a good choice if you don't want to use the stock Holleys.
Props with 1.50 gears and stock 500's would be 26 Hydromotive Quad 4's stock, not lab finished. If labbed likely you would need 27's or 28's. If you want to run the Merc Bravos then stock 26's should work or labbed 28's. I have stock 26 Hydros and lab 28 Bravos for my 35 Lightning, same hull as yours, and both work well. The Hydros are better top end, Bravos better cruise and holding on plane at slower speeds. Props are a matter of personal preference, best to get couple sets and try them out.

I have a 2000 Lightning Classic 35', it has HP500EFI's, I didn't know that Carbs were an option in 2000. I have a set of Bravo 28 and Bravo 30's. My top speed with the 28's is 82 mph, and with the 30's it is 85mph. That is in the winter, at sea level, full fuel and 2 people. I noticed that on the factory test sheet Reggie tested my boat and it had 26 Hydromotive props. I am planning on getting my 30's labbed, as they only turn 4900 rpm, I hope to pick up 300 rpm and 3+ mph.

Are those speeds GPS / Radar verified? Or spedo readings? What did the factory test sheet show for speeds with the Hydros?

after doing lots of research ,just realised that the stock carbs are 800 cfm according to a a few posts... now, the holley site shows th 800 cfm marine to have no electric choke....part 0-9022 .....
the 850 cfm holley has the electric choke...
i cant recall but on my last 35 fountain,i was forced to order a new carb and i remember buying the model with the elect. choke on the side being the 850 cfm...
can anyone shed some light ??
