Tight is tight, there should be more than 20 thousands, play there is more play than that in the bolts to mounts. Once the engine was reinstalled it could have preloaded the thrust bearing easily. This is a freak of nature not the engine builders fault.

the stelling boxes work fine on mine. going on four years. there is lots of play in my slip collar.
