Default Dana marine billet vents

Are the Dana marine billet vents exactly the same size as the standard vents that came on the Classic style lightnings and Fevers? I replaced the factory ones with white plastic OEMs from attwood a couple of years ago but they are now fading again. Will the billet kind on there website pop in without modification?

Do I need to drill new holes or will they fit in the existing holes?

hey runafever i installed danas billet fuel vent on my 27fever.the hole was the same size, but the thickness of the side was too thick....i could not tighten the nut that holds the vent in place,no threads showing.so i drilled a small hole in the side of the vent and put a cotter pin through it w/backing washer.i allso used 5200 to help seal and hold it in place.it allmost covers where the old one was.hope this helps.brad.

I tried to replace mine with some from Eddie Marine a couple of years ago. Didn't fit, so I ended up with the stock ones from Attwood again.

jryan26 - never tried the Maximus. After speaking with Brett, and the good slip numbers that I had with the P5Xs, I decided to stay with them. They are currently at Bblades being labbed.

There is an alternative to the white, Attwood also makes the same style in a chrome finish, still the plastic material, but a chrome like finish. Changed mine a couple years ago, got them at West Marine. Size is exactly the same as the white ones.
