Drove the Cat Killer TODAY!!!
I would personally like to thank Reggie Fountain, Wyatt Fountain, Scott Shogren & my friend Chad Knaus for including me in what I consider to be the opportunity of a lifetime. That being a full blown behind the scenes tour of the Fountain facility and the chance to test ride any boat we wanted including the infamous "Cat Killer". When I tell you they rolled out the red carpet for us today I'm not exagerating!!!!
A 300,000+ sq ft operation, employing 300+ people building in excess of 300 boats a year. I have toured several other boat manufacturers in my day but nothing of this magnitude. I think I was the most surprised by the fact that Fountain Powerboats manufactures every component of the boat in house w/ the exception of the engines, drives, gauges & controls.
We spent 6 hrs together touring the facility, meeting the men & women behind the scenes as well as driving several boats.
Cat Killer w/ Twin Sterling 1550's @ 140mph (obviously a Sun PM drive for this boat)
35' ICBM w/ Twin Merc 600's @ 100+mph
47' Lightening w/ Twin Merc 700's @ 90+mph
Being a cat owner currently & having only owned 1 single engine V hull previously I must tell you that I was very impressed w/ the fit, finish, quality, workmanship & handling of these boats.
Thank You Reggie, Wyatt & Scott!
Enjoy the pics!!

Great pic's Nascat, So are you going back to a vee once you sell the 32cs, or were you shopping with Chad?
Looks to be a great facility and it had to be cool hanging with Reggie and running his boats.
