Default Help on this 38 Fountain

Looking for more creature comforts while still staying in the performace area. Anyone here know anything about this 38 listed in the classifieds? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1993 38 Express

I've been looking a little more and found a few that are on the market.

Anyone here know this boat up in Harrison Township, MI 48045 ?

38 Sport Vruiser

Yeah, it's sold.

They had it on EBay last week, ended the auction early.

See: http://www.chicagofountain.com/prode...id=419&catid=7

Probably made a nice deal on it. I tried to work something out, they were just looking to hurt me too much on my trade (which I understand).

I know someone who is listing a 1995, same model boat, different cockpit layout with a little more power here soon. I think they are going to be a little off base with their pricing from what I hear, but we'll see.

Boat is at Triton Marina right now.

PJDiesel,

Was at the Shogren site and see it has Deal Pending. Read the write up you posted as well. May have to just keep an eye out for another one.

Curious why the price seemd so low as compared to the other models. Could it be its just not as favored in the Fountain family?

I don't know on the price, I contacted Scott (Shogren) about it two or three times, he seemed pretty confident it would go at or close to to asking price. I just needed the numbers to be better between my trade and what they were asking. From what I was told, the boat needed NOTHING, ran great and was well taken care of.

At this point I am SPECIFICALLY looking for a 92-94 38SC in the 40-55K range. We are not even considering any other makes or models. Other than the one I referred to that will be available this spring here locally, the rest of them are 95 and newer and right around the $100K range.
Oh, and yes, I believe it is a much less desired model. On the the other hand, if you were looking for a 92-95 38 or 42 lightning, you'd be in luck, there are dozens of them (literally) on the market.
Good Luck.

That is right in around the price my people are going to be asking for their 95 (non staggered though).

I think this guy has to marinate on the market for awhile with that price.
