I have to make a decision by this Saturday if I have to put my 2005 42 X up for sale. Been a 2 boat owner for over a year now, and One has to GO. I'm thinking that there will be a better market for my Fountain than my Sonic. Don't want to sell because I love my 42X but O WELL.
I'm kinda giving the Fountain forum a head's up in case someone is looking for a nice 42X with 2007 staggard 525's sport masters, and Herring 6 blades. Will have more info by Saturday. Wish me LUCK!!!

Your right,
Have had the Sonic up for sale for a period of time and have many people call on it but no taker's. The sale of the Fountain is a last resort. I don't want to sell the Fountain but being a 2 boat owner 1 must go. The Sonic is a 2001 358 with 500EFI'S and is a super boat. So it really is not much of a step down. Would still have the Sonic on the market even after the Fountain sold, this way I could get back into another Fountain, which would be my boat of choice.

Yes your right,
I did purchase the boat without engines and installed 525's with Sport Master's. I'm using 6 Blade Herrings running 85 on GPS with one engine only turning 5000 rpm's. Wilson Marine Service in Bay City, Michigan did the rigging. This spring we are looking into why the one engine is only turning 5000 rpm's
With the engines still under Warranty we will get the problem figured out. If I can get the one engine up in the rpm's we should see some MPH gain. I should note the one engine is turning 5400 and some times hits the Rev Limiter even with the one enging only turning 5000.
Should be noted that I had a person looking at my 358 Sonic that I have for sale today. I think the sale is going through, I'm meeting with buyer tomorrow to close the deal. I quess this means that I will be KEPPING the FOUNTAIN. Very good news to me because I just love the 42 EX.
