Default 29 Specs

Does anybody know what the spec's are on a 29 Fountain. I just bought one with a 500EFI and was wondering how much fuel it holds and how much it weighs? If anybody know's I would appreciate the info.

James, what year?
My '92 w/ twin 502's weighed in at 6500 lbs. I think there was room for either 120 or 140 gals.

The boat I bought is a 2000, I don't know if that makes any difference.

I have an 03. It weighs 5800 dry and holds 130 gallons. I would think you would be close to that.

2000 would be the old deck style. Weight is either 5500lb or 5600lb dry. Will check when I get home from work this evening. Gas tank should be ~ 131 gallon. X-dimension should be 17.5" and with 500EFI, stock propeller should have been a Hydromotive Q-IV 24P. In 2002 they raised the X-dimension to 19.5 and stock propeller would have been Bravo 1 26P. We owned a 2000 29 with 500EFI and really liked it. Was a little slow to get on plane, but overall a really nice boat.

Thanks for the info. With your boat and the 500 EFI what should I expect to see for speeds on that. Yes the boat has a 24P and sucks getting out of the hole. I need to get my engine fixed before I can really run it. I have a bad exhaust valve in #8.

on our local lake 800' above sea level, 2 people, 1/2 tank or maybe a little more, mid 70's for temperature, it always ran 72.7 - 73.1 mph on GPS. Gaffrig liquid filled speedo always showed 74 - 77 mph. Never held it open for miles to see what it was "really" capable of, tweaking the drive trim. Reggie report showed 74.5 mph. After having the opportunity to have run one of my boats at the factory (Pamlico River/Sound), I believe that number since they are at sea level and sort of salt -water. My boat that I ran at their facility ran ~ 2 mph faster than anywhere else I had run that boat, given same fuel level, air temperature and 2 people in the boat. BTW, my boat that I ran at their shop was not my 29 with 500EFI.
