OK the gas guage is like a little over a 1/2 tank off.It was a little over empty on my trailer. In the water it said more than a 1/2 tank . At least you know how much you have when it is on the trailer before you head out..I also figured it to be better a WOT because the boat is more level..but siting in the water is like pointless because of the angle of the boat. I still have not yet run it out of gas.But is say's empty in my driveway and said about a 1/4 on the lake.

Your either full or empty, seriously, if the needle moves off full, your propably at half a tank. When it hits 1/4 you had better be on your way to the gas dock. If your doing a radar run, let it run way down and just put 10 gallons in, and then gas up after the radar run. Oh make sure you remove the bed and stuff in the cabin, I usually would pick up 1-2 mph by dumping everything but me.

I can tell when mine reads 1/4 tank it has about 5 gallons in it. Yes I have run out of gas before and here is what I found when I got home. I told myself this gauge has not worked right since the day I bought this boat and I will not have this happen again....lol. Pulled out the sender and found that it is located right at the back of the tank. The arm is only as deep as the tank so as long as you are on plane and have fuel towards the back of the tank your full on the gauge (tilt half empty water bottle on its side and raise one end) once the gauge starts to move you have next to no gas left. Since I boat alot in the river when I see 1/2 tank I start looking for fuel, at a 1/4 tank I gather up the anchor so when I am dead in the water in 10 min. the current doesnt push me into the bank while I wait for a tow.
