Default Rub Rail

I have a 1997 42 Fountain. My question is how hard is it to remove the back part of the rub rail. I have noticed that some water is getting in the boat and would like to reseal that part of the rub rail. thanks again Scott

no, it's coming in around the rub rail. The only time water is getting in the boat is when I launch the boat and the rub rail goes under the waterline.

Oh At the back of the boat .. if it has the stainless insert its all in with screws if you have the white insert take the rear fountain name plate off and hook the end and pull. that should get you to the inner screws then remove the inner part

Had to resealed both of my Fountains for this issue. Not hard to do. If it is the white insert, you'lll need a heat gun to reinstall it.

Once the rear section of the rubrail was off, I squeezed 5200 into the deck/hull joint till it was solid. Never a drop of water in the bilge again after that fix.
