Down Pipes
Any one use or have used Gibson down pipes?
I have a 29 fever with a 575 SCI they work well if you get them set to the right depth. BUT if you put more bodies in the boat then they are too deep and it loads the motor up.
I had them cut already to where Gibson said to cut them but it still seems to load the motor up if you idle around to long. Any ideas?

Sorry not sure how to reply to each reply....hummmmm
As for silent choice yes I do, But here’s how that works with the law: if I cant pass the test with my exhaust open then silent choice is illegal, if I pass then it is ok to have the silent choice. Sounds dumb but that is the law in that county.
And if I keep cutting them I lose the point of them. But I do like the idea of not having to shuttle everyone around!
As for the CMI mufflers are they made to be used on a blown motor? Everyone I have talked to said that any type of muffler will restrict it to much.
And I don’t think I can post a photo but I will try
Thanks for everyone’s in put
or email me at [email protected] and i can send photos from there. (Yes i was or am a Baja owner and its for sell as i speak)

CMI says the 6" mufflers see no power loss up to 1200hp.
They came out with the 6" because the 5" ones were restrictive on engines over 550hp or so.

CMI just raised the price on a pair of these to $1300+. I'm asking $925 for these. They are brand new. I wanted to put them on my boat but the pipes coming out of the back of my boat are like 1 1/2" and there just isn't enough pipe sticking out for me to clamp on to.
I sold one pair and have one pair left.

OK I need to do some home work on them but will let you know. I hate the fact that I have to do anything to lose that oh so nice sound!
It blows me away that you can sit in the middle of town and listen to Harley’s go by that rattle widows and that's ok (nothing against Harley’s) CDA cop's are just out to rid the lake of that type of boat. CRC came up last year with one of their boats and they were stopped 6 times in one day.
Ok I am done venting.
