Has anybody done this to a 2000? I believe the X dimension is lower then the newer 01 29's (is that correct)? I was thinking about switching to a shorty, but don't know if it will help or hurt the performance of the boat. What differences did you see if any?

racerngr1,
I tried one on a 1999 hp500 boat. I did not like it. I could not trim the boat to feel loose. The bow seemed stuck to the water. No improvements in speed with bravo or Hydromotive props. Also tried a 1'' spacer and still no improvements.

I have a 2003 29 Fever with twin 377 Scorpions. It runs 81, and is very loose. I am also considdering shorties. Would love to get a little rooster too! Any comments on that? What will happen`?
