i looked at this boat last year in the channel during desert storm, it is super clean.

At the Miami show last week the Mercury Racing guy said 180 hours, if needed on the 850 rebuild. He also said at 180 hours you should do the top end only (springs, valves, lifters and a vavle job) and drive it for another 150 hours or until the valves won't adjust properly.

Sounds alot better than the 125 hrs I was quoted buy Merc. I was looking for a 42/ 850 boat before the economy went south. I'll just stay with my 38/700

Its a beautiful boat and special at that with 850's...wish it was a better time for me too.
