Default bravo or Hydro

2000 27 502 mpi LH been using 23 hydro tried a 24 Bravo 1 plane time is cut in half, mid range is quicker but boat feels like it is kinda "loose" because rpms get to 5000 but speed is still climbing. Should I stay with the Hydro? I like the way bravo planes out. If you have prop knowledge then HOLLA at ya boy!!

I have a 05 fever 29 and the hydro 5 blade 26 pitch P5x bowlift did the exact opposite and kept lifting the stern and mashing the bow. I ended up with a labbed bravo 28 pitch 4 blade left rotation labbed it works well the boat does 87mph at 5700rpm but my hull is stepped unlike yours

My hull has step. Think all Fountains have steps since 1994.

I have a 28 Hydro and a labbed 28 Bravo for my 27. Just like you mentioned, the Bravo is the best all around of the two for my boat. It all depends on what you prefer.

You must have more than stock power, Standard set up on a 27 w/500efi was a 25 Hydro

Stock set up on a 27 w/ 502mpi 415 hp is 24 hydro.

Bravo is best all around, Hydro will be 2 mph faster top end, but you give up allot for that 2mph.

I had an 01' HO with a 26p bravo RH. Very nice all around given the limited power.

I ran a Hydro for years on my 27, but after testing Bravos on my current boat, the Bravo is definitely a better all around prop.
