Actually I think the new 33 is a great buy. New boat warranty, new style interior in cockpit and cabin, reliable power, crazy paint, and fast(80 plus) all for under 150k. That does not sound like a bad deal to me. I would consider if I didn't boat on Lake Erie and didn't need the extra length. I think it's a pretty good boat.

Where have you seen one for less then 150K? The one I was looking at was closer to 180-190.
Under 150K is a killer deal.

East Coast Flightcraft, believe they have two 33's. They are great people to deal with, bought my 35 from them.

If I was looking that would be hard to pass up at that price.
When we compared the SSR to the fountain there were things I liked on both. First off, the wife and I stay on the boat every weekend so cabin room does play a role.
It would be a good idea to ride in both, not sure on the price for SSR's at last years show they were 180-190, but so was the fountain at that time.

- SSR has a taller cabin, more room.
- Fountain seems more finished in cabin, at least the wife agreed.
- I like that the rear part of the rear seat lifts up on SSR, makes it nice to service engines.
- I have to admit, I like the left hand controls and the look of the Fountain but that is just a preference.
- I also like the beak and look of the 33, but again just a preference.

I've been on both as well and the SSR is just too glitzy for my taste, somewhat punkish in styling. I will admit the cabin is nice in terms of space, just real cheap looking when compared to the Fountain, too much plastic and starboard for me. They look odd when runing as well. Just my opinion, but it's hard to beat a Fountain for pure looks.
