Default 33 or 35

i have been looking at a 1989 fountain.te hull i.d. says the boat is a 33,but nada and the owner say it is a 35 w/the swim platform.the boat had a radar arch but was removed.in the bilge is alot of room in front of the engines,compaired to a 32.the boat has a walk around hull like a lighting hull,but not a wrap around windsheld.it has a aluminum fairing.what is it?

35" 2' swim platform makes it a 35 no platform 33'

That year they did not count the platform making it a 33'. Then they counted the platform calling it 35'
On NADA it is a 33' Lightning
I have a 89 like the one you are talking about.

what power are you running and what kind of speeds?how does the boat do in rough water,say 3-6 waves?

If an 89 Fountain is what you gotta have, I just happen to be selling one. It's almost identical to the one you described....
