remember boats are money pits and something to enjoy. Remember HIGH PERFORMANCE equals high cost.

if your looking at price you can get older boats where the mechanics are redone and the interiors are new. I bought a 91 fever with both engines replaced with only 60hrs on them. Interior replaced. Boat is in great shape, cost me under 30k. But you take a 98-2000's and the same boat with the same engine hours would cost you 50-60k. Granted its newer and I dont want to downplay that. But really i have a 91 with only 400 total HULL hours, i mean really thats nothing.

go with the 29 with a single hp500 or bigger. you will be happy.

I actually have the 29 with the single 500 that Tim used to own it's a 1996 with a single step and runs 70 mph it would only take a small blower to run 80 and rides great. I actually have this boat for sale in the mid 30s, if anybody is interested shoot me an email at [email protected]

i dont know the exact numbers but id say your close, stepped hulls are definatly faster
