I'm looking into getting a K&N flame arrestor for my 500HP carb. K&N part number 59-3370. Does anyone know the vent tube kit part number I would need? Will the Merc ones fit on the K&N?
Anyone running these arrestors? Is it worth the $100?

K & N is very serious about their CARB and Coast Guard ratings but I put a standard 9" x 2" on my boat and it worked great. The part number was 60-1110 (I think) and it came with a stainless steel top and bottom with the preferred air horn design and which had the 5/8's tube built righ in. It was around $60 from Pep Boys.

Try K&N's website:
www.knfilters.com
They have a marine section that lists everything. The vent tubes can be ordered seperately to fit each size of tube that you need.

THE VENT HOSE ADAPTERS LOOK LIKE THEY'D WORK PERFECT!
i put mine on last night and used the old adapters out of the stock arrestor. i made it work, but the k&n adapters are much better.
