I have an 09 35 lightning with 525's.....last season with 5 blade labbed maximus I did have problems, three blades, I now have the 7 blade herings and no issues thus far after about 30 hours. Friend has an 07, same set-up with non-labbed maximus and no issues for what it is worth........one option as mentioned is to add a 1" spacer to drop the prop into the water and reduce it from surfacing, no experience with it, just an option that was offered to me.
Not problems or issues with drives, they have about 60 hours on them now.

They work great! no real difference when getting out of the whole, mid range gain was huge, 5-6mph increase at 4100rpm.....top end only getting 5020-5040rpm but with me in the boat and say about 1/3 tank of fuel (needle showing over 1/2) 96mph.

If your running 600's with XRs and sportmasters with a X dim 22 1/2" on a Fountain you will have problems throwing blades and blowing uppers. They will last maybe a season if your lucky when its all new. (if its a short one) One thing I made sure of was to have enough drinks to keep everybody happy on those 2 to 4 hours idle backs. If the crew starts b****ing after you just lost another 4K or more that would really suck.
