Hi guys, new to the forum, just bought a 1997 27 Fever signature series with 300hrs and a 502 mpi mag. The info I can find on the boat says it would have come with a 496 of the big mercury 502 maybe. The test report says it had a 502 mpi mag. Just curious if anyone would know why this boat came with it? Not concerned just wondering Thanks

Oh ok, didnt see it listed in what I found, just glad to own one of these, always wanted one, a big step up from my 1989 Scarab. Just curious, what are you running for a prop on yours and what speeds are you seeing?

I've got a 24" RH Bravo 1 on mine. Tops out at 66mph on GPS speedo. 340 hours on a stock 502 Mag MPI.

My performance report said...
Speedo: 70
GPS: 68.5
This with a Hydromotive 15.5 x 23
I've heard the Hydro prop is faster on this boat, but lower speed performance suffers. My boat came (to us) with a Bravo I 22p - 60 was about as fast as it would go.

Yeah, I'll have to see how it goes in the spring, maybe a labbed prop will be in order, been looking at bblades, I'll have to call them with some info after I run it. Considering a procharger later on.
