Default 2001 38 with 525s?

Looking at one with 690 hull hours and 120 engine/drive hours. Boat looks very clean and well taken care of and the newer 525s were done in 09. Any input on this setup? Speeds? What would be the right $$ for a boat like this?

Great boat. Just sold mine. Probably 82mph with the right props.

Price 65-70 if it is on a trailer and clean.

You should be ok with stock bravos. Drives are nice and deep on that boat. It's a cool piece with the 525s

I agree. This is why my interest is peeked. Normally the hours would have scared me off. It was owned by an older couple which helps in my eyes. It wont run high 80s w the 525s? I thought they ran 82-83 w 500 efi

I was going to guess 84-85 mph or so, the low X will hold it back a little.

I bought a 2000 fever without power or drives - had it rigged with stock X, strd length sportmaster xr lowers, 525 efi's. Ran about 81 out of the box.

Bought a set of Imco -2's. With those and a set of stock 32 bravo 4's it ran 85 out of the box. That winter I yanked the 525's but with some prop tweaking I probably could have gotten 87 or better out of it. If I had raised the drives there was even more to be had.

This shot is with the standard length sportmasters.

In regards to price, depending on the condition, as runafever said, $65 - $70K - on a decent trailer.

That looks like the boat that was down in Ft Meyers at http://www.sportboatsmarine.com/site...m_index_1.html

I was there and took a quick look at the outside, didn't bother to check it out real close.
Is that the one you are talking about?

That has to be the same boat. 690 hrs - how much of it in salt water? Doesn't look like it has a trailer. I'm thinking 60K tops, and that's if it looks tip top looking condition. -
