Couple of notes when dealing with "them"
Don't believe any of the "minimum bids" the numbers are inflated, as you can see most are higher than what you would pay retail.
If you are using a bank loan it most likely won't fly unless you use their finance company.
They sometimes have the matching trailer to the boat, they just don't list it but will sell.
I have a few friends that have purchased boats from them, all 3 of the boats were mint! 1 #6 32 skater, 1 Black Thunder, and 1 45 Sonic. There is more bad than good. But if you are serious make the drive or flight and look around. They won't take you serious over the phone, and you want the face to face meeting to make a friend....otherwise you will lose the bid by $5
As far as boat's being "beat" I have seen some mircles done to bring boats back to par. Even a used 15 year old boat will need new interior. Structure and rot would be my only concerns, engines are cheap in today's market.

"This world renown performance boat is in average condition for her age. She i s in need of a good cleaning and some TLC to bring her back to her best. Powered by Mercury Racing 600 SC gas engines and her stepped hull she will glide through the water with ease"
I think this post makes it obvious that it does in fact "glide THROUGH the water with ease"

You base this on what? Ownership of a Fountain with rotted stringers? Get a life, a job, a pay check, a boat, then make comments based on life expericences.

I am not sure how you figure this but to run the same speed as the trip you would need 750HP engines and bigger drives. By the time you figure all considerations in there will not be much difference. Do you think a SC engine is cheap on fuel? Also you would have to burn premium fuel where the HP 500’s can run on reg. All combinations have advantages and disadvantages
