I signed the deal on the purchase of a 97 fever 27 last night. Thanks to a lot of OSO members input and shopping we got a great deal on a loaded boat. We should pick it up next week in time for a weekend run.
Some stats on my new baby are 502 mag efi, stage 1 procharger, Stainless Marine exhaust, larger K planes, teal bezels on guages, $3,000 stereo which sounds great when anchored but the motor sounds better, the list goes on.
Two things really impressed me on the test run, turning and the kick ass speed from 40 to 70 when the procharger boost comes on. The ride in 2ft chop was also great.
Can't wait to get it on the water. I guess I need to change my post name since moving over from our Checkmate to the world of steps and beaks. I'll try top get some pics on soon.

WE NEED PICS!
Congrats on the new boat. Im sure you will love it.
What size K-planes are on the boat? Mine has 280's on it. I think the next step up are 380's which are about a foot longer. If you do have the 380's be carefull, with the 280's you can bury the nose far enough to get a pretty hard bow steer. With the 380's it will put the bow down further.

Welcome to the world of Beaks! I hope you enjoy yours as much as we enjoy our 27.
(I moved the rest of the text that was in this reply over to your "27 fever info" thread).
Wish you the best of luck!
