Chris,
I believe you will like the ride quality of a straight bottom Fountain 33/35, I have a 1990 in mint cond. and like everything about it, great ride, great handling, great styling & body lines, lots of room in the engine bay for maintenence. I had several guys tell me they were going to ,,kick my ass in rough water ,, because their boats rode much better than my Fountain in rough water, a couple of them were 28's, couple were 29's, I didn't care cause I don't race, so my Beautiful wife and I pulled out of the cove into 3 to 4 footers and set the speed to only 70 mph, I kept waiting for one of them to pass me, I finally looked back after 3 miles or so, everyone was so far back I could barely see them, and looked like they were trying to stay in my wake, I don't know if it was the rough water that slowed them down or they just couldn't run 70, go figure.
It probably won't run w/ a 38 or 42 in rough water, but who cares.

Congrats Chris, contrary to popular belief, Fountain makes a great boat.

Not to get crucified, I give a lot of credit to a well balanced, well maintained and extremely well set up trailer with electric brakes - the truck tows great, Stops on a dime, accelerates well handles the load well and the trailer is level on flat ground as it should be.
