Im looking at purchasing a late 90s fever 27. Are there any "common" problem areas or anything in particular I should look out for when shopping around?
I just missed a 97 with 450 hrs and a perfect interior for $18,999 and now im seeing people asking high 30s for them?? Which end of the price range in more realistic?

I would guess depending on condition anywhere in there is right. Nada is not the end all be all but a good starting point. Also biggest issue with anyboat the has wood in it is moisture. All makes and models are susceptible. A survey by a reputable guy with an operational moisture meter is a good idea. Again they are not perfect but it can certainly help. The other thing to consider from what I've read is the 29 is actually as fast or faster with same power. Don't rule them out in your search. I'm sure others will chime in with more.

I sold my '97 in March this yr for $24k. Fresh 502 w/ procharger and Myco. The guys asking $30s are still sitting on them. As mentioned, check all the stringers in the engine bay as well as the berth. If anything doesn't sound right. RUN!

I picked up my 27' early this spring for $22,000 but it had some interior that needed attending to and a few other misc things. Good deal if you ask me because that was the only one available at LOTO during that time. Don't see many for sale in my area.
I like the boat but be ready for very little cargo room. I do 4 people and a cooler and that pretty much maxes it out as far as comfort. Not sure if the 29' has any more cockpit area or if its just a few feet longer. Don't get me wrong love the boat but be warned they are smaller cockpit area than most I think.
