fuel senders
My friend just bought a 1997 35ft lightning. He can't seem to find the fuel sending units. He looked under the seats and in the engine compartment. He found a round access port on the ledge in the engine compartment but he did not see any senders. There is something he mentioned that looks like a hockey puck, silver shinny and has a large wire going to it. Maybe some type of magnet sender??
Any help will be appreciated

Livorsi made some like that as well as others. That should be it. At least that's what they look like in my 2000 Lightning. Oh and by the way DO NOT trust what the fuel gauge reads. When it starts to move off full you have 2/3-3/4 tank or so. If it gets to 1/2 you need to start looking for fuel and running easy. That has been my rule ever since I learned the hard way.

My friend said that in the position that the sender sits it doesn't look like it will come straight out..

I will save myself the embarrassment of the details but I learned this weekend that what has been said above regarding Fountain fuel gauge readings is 100% accurate...
