NON step 35 Top Speeds
I'm sure there is a thread on this but ,I just did the top ends on my boat. I went from totally stock 454's including exhaust and did heads ,cams ,intakes ,carbs and exhaust .I did a small roller 575/575 lift any way I'm guessing close to 500 hp. What speed should I be seeing with this hp? Thanks Robert

Assuming you have 1:50 gears that's about 13% slip. Try to get the engines spinning 5200-5300. Might have to go to a 25 and you could see 72ish possibly. Then again its a lot of trial and error to see what pushes your boat the best. I think I tried 5 sets before I settled on some.

With the right props I think it might go mid 70's , when I was making 625 mine would run right around 80 fresh water slight chop
