Transporting a 35 Lightning
Hey Guys,
Looking for opinions or ideas. In the process of selling my 35 & the buyer is going to have it hauled from NY to Arizona. He is looking into having it shrink wrapped to help protect it on the trip. Any other ideas or suggestions. That's a long haul & I'm worried about any damage that could occur on the way.
Thanks for any input,
Brian

Hauled meaning by trailer or by tractor trailer? If by tractor trailer I would request the flat bed type. Other suggestion is to have the shrink wrap have a soft material where they normally tape it to the boat to create a barrier between the wrap and the boat. I'd also recommend they shrink it under the boat and as low as they can as it goes towards the bow. It will chaff the finish if it's not done well. You may also want to see if you can shrink wrap the outdrive.

Wide mud flaps across the rear of the truck. Road debris is a "B" on gelcoat. Extra built-up hub assy. Any other tools that may be needed for breakdowns along the trip.
