Looks like the 150 Carbon boat is back up, he is claiming 143 in the 1/4 that's a stretch from my memory but it is what it is believe it or not.

I would not use the Merc Gimbal ring. We have had the same issue with the rings spreading apart. The cure for it is a stainless ring from Max Worx. Don't go to much faster with that hull they get very unstable at 130.

Pics of a 540 M4 engine I used to own in a 28 Checkmate.
Yes, tunnel ram setup made some big power and torque. Popping an XR with that boat was as simple as using the available torque.
Great motor that needed to be mated to a greater drive.
Those commenting about single step 35's not handling well at 130; are you talking from experience ? Please elaborate.

Wow!
Has this thread wandered from the question posed here. FOUNTAIN turned them IN for a reason when they shipped the boats from the factory. Lots of testing and just general focking around to get these boats to run their best. Just turn the props IN, learn to deal with the dock O'mite chit. The boat will run it's best if you simply put some faith in th man that designed and built it . Sometimes it is just that simple.
