Default 35 EX water in bilge

Hey guys, every EX I've owned or been on has accumulated water in the bilge ( all 2006 and 2007s ). My previous lightning was pretty much dry as a bone. Any insights on where it might be coming from. In two previous boats a lot of the problem was from loose exhaust clamps. Tightening slowed it down, but the water still finds a way to get in... Thanks in advance!

Just check all water connections. Strainers, exhaust, coolers, block drains. Also check any under water thru hulls.

is this after being on the water on a dry day or accumulated over time? The vents will let water in if not covered in rain. Also wind screens, bow rails anything mounted can leak. Sealant has a shelf life and needs to be redone after time

Starts out dry. I've actually left it on the trailer dunked it and started it up...nothing, but after running it awhile, water always accumulates. Seems to be more on the starboard side. Every executioner I've been in has done this to some degree. After rafting up for a couple of hours, I'll hit the starboard bilge and get about 10 seconds of water... I wonder if this is why Executioners are notorious for stringer issues...

All the rubrails were replaced, not sure if they were sealed properly. Can't imagine that much water getting through there in that amount of time though.

If it’s leaking just sitting it’s a below water thru hull most likely.

think drive cutouts, water pickups, trim tabs, garboard drain. If your head has an overboard discharge/pickup. Things along that nature

There are two vent holes on the starboard side. The upper is were the bilge water comes out. What does the lower do?

It would be below the water line.

Don’t know without pics. Follow the hose and see where it goes

If it’s a 496 engine boat, check the water drain actuators, they’re known to leak from time to time

I always had water in the bilge after running my ex 27 Fever, spent a lot of time trying to figure out the source. It turned out being the seal of the deck and hull at the swim platform. There is no access to glass that area so the factory only use sealant.
I suspect the construction of your 35 is the same as the 27.
