I wonder if the closed cooling stuff compensates for the savings?

Same dyno both full marine setup, headers, water pumps, power steering pumps etc. You can see where the 525's cam/heads/ and exhaust start working over the 500's.

I had a 29' 2006 Fever for 6 years. It was powered by two 6.2s at 320hp each. It was a 71 mph ride with a full tank (120 gallons) and me only. (Bravo 1 drives 1:65 26 pitch Bravo 1 props). I believe it would hit 74 with labbed 28 pitch props and a 1/4 tank of gas. The 525 would top out a good 5 mph faster. My dealer, who had both in stock, said the twins accelerated harder and would be flat out by the time the 525 reeled it in. I never had a chance to try this so it is an unproven opinion. If you are on a lake and don't mind freshening the heads and headers at 200-250 hours the 525 would be a fun and fast choice. If you are on salt water (like I am) the 6.2s will probably be less expensive to operate. Good luck.

Pretty sure the prop is stock on it. Was going to test some props out this spring, but could be im just a bad captain with not a lot of seat time in the boat yet since I bought it last year.
