Default factory paint vs. custom

Would like to hear comments on boat paint costs. Fountain is listing their newcustom paint jobs at close to $20,000. If order a boat all white and go to a good customer painter can you get a paint job as good quality and price as the Fountain factory? Will a customer painter work with you to design exact design you want and is this figured in the original cost or extra. Looking for comments--

Check out Taod Graphics, they are heavy advertisers in Powerboat mag and most all custom graphs we see in that mad Taod has done.

I was thinking the same thing, we just ordered our Lightning with Plasma and Deck graphs and compared to a blank. It can get pretty expensive pretty fast going custom, but it is truly one off when done. We opted for factory and will customize down the road.

Here is a link, they seem to be pretty hard to find in search engines.

The "Spider Man" boat in TAOD's add is at Lake Cumberland Marine and his work is simply fantastic.

I like the idea of the custom painter that you can really work with. Not the fountain wouldnt take your ideas, a custom painter seems like they would be more willing to work with you. I have seen amazing paint jobs from Custom Touch Graphics.

clean sweep,
You can't beat custom paint. I think for $20,000.00 you could get a fantastic paint job from a custom shop. Just remeber the Fountain price is full list and your dealer should be able to save you some money off that price.

It's hard to beat the custom look. This paint in the right shade of red looks great on a Fountain. It still catches the eye quicker than a white boat.
