Count me in.
Has anyone posted this in the general forum?
It's a great venue for all of us [performance boaters] to "show off" our stuff!
Great idea. See you all there!

Hey nolimits,
I started another thread over on the Superboat forum:
http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...9528post999528
My count from the CT river is 3 Superboats, 5-6 total and growing.
Maybe Christian knows of a few more...

Hi all,
Steve (Nolimits) is away on business but has been in contact with the powers that be at Claudio's. They were grousing a bit at our choice of weekends (tall ships), but relented in the end. We were strongly advised to make sure that we show up no later than 1115 for an 1130 docking...anything later will be a problem. Steve assured him we would make it so since it is in our own best interest to do so. Hope you are all looking forward to this run as much as I. See you all then.
Gary
PS Greg, are you still comin'?

Ok guys, time to wake up.... Went to Claudio's with Gferdon this Sunday and had a blast. It took us 2.5 hours to get there from Islip. What a drive, super boats, bikes and people there. Above all the food was great! Just fantastic a ride.
Hope everyone is ready to go.
It is critical that we get there no later than 11:30. Docking is tight and we will be rafting - so bring bumpers. Dragonfire, you'll need to get the big ones that boats use.... None of those Jetski bumpers..
We need to check in and discuss where we are starting from and what the plans are!! Tripps and friends are trailoring their boats (I think to the parking lot of Claudio's
). Who is on the South run and who wants to meet in Babylon, then Hecksher? Peconic where will we meet you?? What's happening on the North side... WAKE UP!!! Check in.....

Steve + Gary,
Glad you had a good time..... I'll buy the Big Boy Bumpers.....
How was the wind on the way back???? I just blasted around the bay yesterday...
Drank with Capt Bob.... Went to Argyle with Rich and Leslie for dinner....
Steve , I can't tell you how great it is to have my boat on the lift... I feel like a human again... Not beholding to any one to splash my boat..... Even though I was paying $100 round trip, I felt Like I was on the pay no mind list.....

Duncan,
The water on the way back was snotty for sure. Mostly head on which the boat ate up. We hit 3 foot rollers and at 55 we had some ocassional air. No slamming at all, but it took concentration.
We went into the ocean via Moriches and came in through Shinecock. Did 58 the whole way over slow motion swells. Couldn't have been sweeter. The lock was open, which saved time. The Peconic was flat on the way to Claudio's. We took the Northern route there and the Southern route back. On the way back, once we turned West, we saw snot. Sucked a little coming in the the Great South Bay from Bellport Bay. Headed southwest, ran the valley and then the flats - it was a breeze....
Had a blast... Glad you had a good day too.....
