Default Whipple's on a Hp500 Carb

I am looking to put Whipple's on my Hp500's does any one know if they will fit under the stock hatches (with intercooler). I would like to keep the hatches as is, and the engines are staggered.

What is the typical pitch change for an additional 200Hp.

With the gear change how did that effect your coming out of the hole, and what was your RPM prior to the change. Nice increase by the way.

put the tabs at #4 throtle up to 2200 and she pops right out. With the 5 blades low and midrange is great. 2800 rpm drives at #3.5 to #4 tabs at 0 56mph . 3000 rpm is 60 61 mph great for fuel and engine life. Only thing to be aware of is at idle shifting into reverse when cold it will stall.

Thanks I appreciate the input. How do you like the 5 blades and what pitch are you running. I am running Bravo One's and cruising is horrible.

30 pitch merc maximus 5 blade lab finished. Had 30 pitch bravos and though they were fine, now I know better. On a trip to long island and back with the bravos I burned 100 gallons of fuel, same trip with maximus props burned 85 gallons. At 2.75 a gallon for high test the price of the props get cheaper every time I use the boat.

I may have to look into that, sounds like they will pay for them selves.
