10X, Im still not sure how big to go with power yet . still trying to sell old boat (30ft scarab) and want to sell stock 420s first . but i dont want to have to change drives (trs) so im thinking 650- 750hp i'd like to see mid 80s

Kevin, do yourself a favor and save yourself a lot of headaches down the road... change the drives first, then think about power! TRS's were designed for right around 420hp, and not much more. I'm sure that statement will bring out some banter, but you have a pretty heavy boat. There's some serious loads happening on your gearsets back there.
Parts are drying up for TRS's, so a complete working set from your boat will have good value. With a shrinking supply and higher demand, that value should increase. Stash them in the garage as long as you can tolerate it.
I was running TRS's with HP500's in a 10-Meter, and broke drives more than I'd like to admit. Trannies too, as a result of broken drives. Right-hand lower is the weak link. They're gone now, and so are my headaches. (Actually, I still have them. They're being re-furb'd for eventual resale)
