I looked at it in cleve. when National liquidaters had it. It seemed strange they , stopped the bidding one week early. First they told me there was two weeks to go, then in a matter of days it was over. Go figure.

I don,t know if the interior was redone or not. It did look pretty good other than a tear on the port engine hatch, and the carpet was water soaked. David

I looked at the 42' fountain in Cleveland @ N Liquidators... I didn't think the one on ebay was the same boat. Here's the one in Cleveland, they told me it sold for $42,000.

No power,no drives,needs interior,gauge & paint update. I just dont
see how its worth it. When you get all done its still only worth 70K.

Mkramer, sounds OK to me. I bought a 90 29' twin BB Fever and rebuilt it ALL!!!. Wish I had a nice 42' to start with. I don't think it's the same as the one I saw but it's nice.

Re: Who bought the 42' no power from Boat Repos?
I bought the 42 Fountain as I have a 83 10 meter and wanted to have a boat that handled the rough water a little better. What is there is in excellent shape, but I need quite a bit of parts to finish it in the engine compartment. It appears that who ever lost it to the bank decided to take the engines out before they towed it away. I have 2 good 540 BB engines to go in it, but no exhaust, sea pumps, or any front accessories or brackets, no bell housing.
I would sure like to find the original owner for the exhaust as it most likely only fits a 91 42 staggered fountain. I may of overpaid for the boat but it is very clean and I was taken with the idea of a staggered setup. I would appreciate anyone who owns a similar boat who might give me any rigging advice. My past experience is from the side by side velvet drive TRS world and am new to both the bravo and staggered world.

Kirk,
Congratulation on your new 42. I know you are going to really like it. After owning a 1987 12 meter and a 1991 42 triple I know you are going to like the ride of the 42, and for that price you got a deal, I kept looking at it, but couldn't buy another boat while I was going through the motors of my new 10 meter. The great thing is after your done you will have the boat just how you want it. Good luck on getting the parts you need.
