Hi Don - I will be launching at the midpoint ramp at about 9:15AM. Should be underway about 9:30-9:45. I'll keep an eye out for you.

we are really looking forward to this. We will be leaving our house in Punta Gorda around 8:45. We went out in the Gulf a bit today around 4pm and it was extremely rough right out side the harbor, but it was pretty windy. Looking forward to meeting everyone tommorow

I talked to Ron and Pam who ran down from Sarasota today and they found it rough offshore as well. The winds today picked up as forecast and were out of the North. I am hoping that they swing around and are out of the East ( onshore ) as forecast by morning and we will be fine. If not we will all run the intercoastal. We will decide in the morning when we see what the actual conditions are. We are going boating ! LOL

This will be our first organized even with other go fasts so we are really excited. The waves we were in on the Gulf today were huge. We didnt think any boat could run 70mph in them? maybe we are wrong but our 382 handles the rough very well and those waves were intimidating haha. cant wait until the morning though!!

Morning people - time to rock and roll !! LOL

Looks like the weather man came thru for us. Winds have shifted around from the East.

Weather Channel says NE at 12 MPH currently.

NOAA says 15 - 20 K out of the East decreasing to 15 K by late morning. Slight chance of rain.

See you all at Sanibel Bridge. Boat safe everyone.

Bob,

What a day. I can't thank you enough for a day that I'll always remember. I meant it when I said it would cost me a ton more money in the future. But what good is earning it if you can't spend it doing something you love and at the same time giving to a great cause. What a class act FMO is. I'm looking forward to all of the other great runs to come our way.

Jay, Rick, and Aaron, it was great to meet you guys too.

See ya soon.

Tom
