There seems to be a system of rain moving in off the Gulf from Sarasota south to a point north of Naples. If it does not clear out soon we may have to pull the plug on this thing. The helicopter pilot also has concerns and is on standby.
We will make a decision by 9:45 AM

If we have the restaurant until 3:30, I wouldn't mind a later start and arriving there around 2:30. Should only take about an hour from Sanibel. The rain is supposed to trickle out by noon.

Bob,
Is plan B still on, driving our cars and meeting at the restaurant, if this doesn't clear up?
Or are you going to cancel the restaurant also?

OK. Hear is the deal. I am going to run north and meet whatever boats show up. I know of some that still want to boat down to Marco. Not raining at Bonita or Marco at this time.
Do not place yourself at risk. If there are thunderstorms in your area do not go. Some are driving to Guy Harveys. Each captain should look at the weather in his area and decide accordingly for himself.
Hope to see as many as possible at Guy Harvey's for lunch by land or by sea.
The helicopter remains on standby and will not take off until I assess the situation at the Sanibel Bridge between11 and 11:30 AM.
Be safe whatever you do.

FUNINTHESUN,
Yes, we will caravan from the Cape. Around what time do you think you will be leaving? We will hang out here at the house for a short time to see if this clears up first. Cell number is 570-220-4655 if anyone is interested.

Thanks for all ya do Bob,
I could tell on the phone this morning how stressful organizing all this and pulling it off actually is, I cant believe the weather did this to you. I was 50/50 on driving over for lunch, but Jen was going to come along, she is kinda restless, and didnt want her first experience with FMO to be sitting inside with all my boat friends, talkin' boats. The Pantera is at the professionals now, and will be tuned, tweaked, and ready to go for a late Jan/February run. Have fun all, and we will see you soon.
