funithesun,
We are to the right off of Palaco Grande when heading back out to Del Prado Blvd. We are on Moody Canal. At this time, looks like we will be meeting you at the bank.

Ha. What a day. As I was pushing north towards the Sanibel Bridge in driving rain with 3 boat length visibility, I looked over at my son in law and said - You know Dave , I'm nuts ! All we could do was laugh and press on. Actually we made pretty good time.
Earthwerks in his canopy Fountain and I left Marco at 10:15 AM and headed north. No boats at Gordon Pass. The Naples gang is smarter than I thought. LOL
Just north of there we were greeted by a wall of rain. I stopped, called the helo pilot on standby and told him - not today. He was real good about it and fully understands how weather can ruin a perfectly good day. LOL Another 10 miles north the seas started to kick up some so I suggested to Dan ( Earthwerks ) he head back to the Esplanade and wait for my return. No problem.
On arrival at the Bridge there was PremierPOWER in his Formula waiting. A true trooper. They had come all the way down from Punta Gorda and were wanting to make the trip to Marco with me even when told about the conditions. No problem. The trip back was actually not bad. Seas had flattened out and the rain let up some. There was a greeting party for us when we got to Marco. As time went on more and more FMO / OSO's began arriving by car. After awhile Jeff Haylett showed up in his Fountain followed by Jack in US MUSL. There must have been 70 of us for lunch at Guy Harvey's and we all had a great time.![Big Grin](/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
So thank you all who came by land or by sea. I enjoyed seeing everyone. There will be another time soon I hope. As I said in an earlier post - sometimes mother nature has the upper hand and is not kind. This was one of those days.

Well if I had any regrets on my choice to take off to Key West for New Years they are gone now, looks like a good time was still had by those that went. I look forward to seeing you all on the next run and some of you on the water this weekend.
Aaron.
