Took a test drive tonight.... Kodiak 4500 with D/A
This rig is kick ass. They had 5 of them, Pewter, White, Blue, Black and Green. The white one was used with a sticker of $49K and pretty much no options. You don't want know the price of the loaded new ones.
It really did handle sweet. Turning radius was like a Tahoe. I was impressed to say the least. Especially with the leather power fold down rear seat/bed. All it needed was remote keyfob actuator to 'set the mood.'

I hear they are a good truck. Just wish they would do something with the front ends on them.
The Ford F-650 looks a lot better in my opinion.
But they are all expensive!

I agree the Ford look alot sharper, but they have a small back seat, almost looks smaller than a regular dually.
And yes you can get the chevy in 4wd. They made the 5500 in 4 wheel last yr and now I have seen the 4500 adv as a 4wd.Looks like a really sweet tow rig. I have seen plain 4500's that were 2wd for $41-42000, alot.

Yes the Chevy and GMC come in 4WD. However it is more of an off road work type 4WD. If you shop the base cab/chassis and bed separately you can come in quite a bit cheaper. I am currently working on a C5500 specked with 22,000 GVWR, air ride rear, D'max, Allison RD2200 trans, Alum. hauler bed painted to match truck, tag hitch, 7 pin lights, 17 carbon fiber interior trim pcs, leather seats, carpet, and a few other interior options. You can bring this truck in for less than 65K with hard shopping. The C4500 has the 1000 series Allison and is less money. Both trucks have a GCWR of 26,000 lbs for towing. My daughter sells GMC among others and will work with OSO members on an ordered in unit. Her name is Millie, Work # is 800 293 0515 or 615-444-8370. Joe Murray
