But, if you drive straight to the ramp, then the engine compartment is as "gas fume free" as when you are cruising on the lake.

I have seen the fork truck pick up a trailer (with the boat on it) and put it in the water to float the boat off, then raised the trailer out of the water and set the tung back on the hitch ball. Funniest think I had seen in a long time.

Once boat is floating (slightly)...
**Do NOT forget to put the truck in PARK and SET THE EMERGENCY BRAKE!**
That's about the biggest and most prevalent mistake while unloading from trailer.

Right when the wheels hit the water, jam on the brakes hard!! The boat will shoot right off the trailer into the water. As it hits the water, fire it up and throw it in gear, sticks pegged to the helm (don't want to hit the boat behind you at the dock now do ya??).
Wife then throws the truck in drive and get the hell out of the way for the next guy....ramps are busy ya know!!!
PS...Don't forget the drain plug.

Hey Troutly, I think you need to make a how-to video with the Formula. Steve can host it on the video server, some real value-add for OSO!! : D
