We are all working hard to tests these new products at loto. I dont think mercury would be involved with a company that is not competent.JC depending on which muffler you have there are a few items they are working on that can bring you legal. number is on their website. thanks jim

I have the transom mount 9060-PR

Gibson doesnt make switchables, ALL of their products are top notch, i have sold thier systems for trucks for 8 years and never had a problem. For clamp ons I would try them...Rob

How much reduction in power is there with the HPI mufflers on the dyno tests?

The March 2005 Hot Boat Magazine has a test on these mufflers and others on HP 525 and 496 Mag engines.

My HPIs on twin HP500 (stock) tested at 91.3 dbl... had to be under 91.5 to pass here in Chicago. I passed, but I had hoped the margin would be a little bet better.

I was at Lake Elsinore, Ca. yesterday. I met Bob Kelly from Performance Resources, LLC (out of Laguna Hills, CA.) He manufactures "Zoomers" exhaust mufflers. He said they just won the hotboat shootout when they tested a bunch of mufflers. Give him a call , he may be able to help you. His number is 714-791-7446 or [email protected]

Good luck,
Gerard

Maybe he forgot to read it?

http://www.livorsi.com/catalog_pdf/hotboat.pdf

Maybe they did better on the bigger motor, those results aren't on the Livorsi site.

Looking at the link you posted on Livorsi website shows that the Zoomers are under the legal decibal max, and gave the baot the fastest mph speed. can't argue with that!! The Livorsi Marine mufflers actually slowed the boat down 1mph.
