Don't waste your time. They will dull out real quick in water. Unless you enjoy doing it all the time. I have found that liquid aluminum cleaners and scotch brite pads will make the drive look new for two weeks. That only take a few minutes vs. all weekend.

Take them off bring them to me I'll spend the rest of the summer polishing them for you. Then I'll clearcoat them and the first time you nick them you be back for more polishing and clear.

That's if you'd like.

I polished our #3 lowers on my dad's old sonic. It took about 3 hours per drive with a high speed weel and some aluminum polish. Be prepared to get dirty. I mean REAL DIRTY! Like Brad said they dull quickly but I gotta say they look awesome when they are shining!

I went down to the boat today and started on the lowers. WAY TOO HOT AND HUMID!!!! Talk about sweating like a fatboy!!! I kind of half azz did one of them by hitting it with a scotchbrite pad and then some aluminum polish with a steel wool pad. Cleaned it up alot....and only took about 45 minutes for one drive.
