He is pretty well now but the fallout from Chemo seems to linger forever. Used to be a very fit sports guy, loves boxing and workouts but now he’s limited in how much he can do.

He also took a hit emotionally and financially during the worst stages of illness but always maintained a positive attitude, I’m sure that helped.

Yes, the boat is for sale, a lot of the hard work/fiberglass stuff is done but still more to do to ‘make it your own’.

I forgot the obvious... The original "Top Banana" 24' banana boat was sold to Chuck Fogarty who renamed her "Gone Bananas" and raced her for a year before she was stolen & destroyed in Miami...sadly gone.

The 38' "Top Banana" also raced by my dad as "Rums of Puerto Rico" is still owned by a guy in RI who bought it from my dad in 1981. He has it stored in a warehouse and it is literally walled-in (the walls need to be torn down to get it out!) I think all of the parts are there but the guy has it all dismantled...he's a bit of an eccentric...???
I remember this boat

Yes. It is owned and operated by Ben Kramers ex right-hand man, when he owned it, Mark Mcmanus, in Ft. Myers Florida nowadays.
