Very Cool!! Any chance of getting a picture of how she looks today?
Is it this "Bounty Hunter"? (Benihana 1978)
Wouldn't it be great to have a modern day "vintage race" of all of these boats again...say Miami-Bimini race...no GPS...stock 525's?

Re: OLD RACE BOATS - Where are they now?
I can report on 3 Old Scarab Race Boats as I was
involved in the conversions, Maintance and repairs
for a number of years.
First is Michael Reagans 38ft w/3 outboards, Its is
still in operation on the West Coast at a Navy Base.
Second is Don Johnsons 43ft Scarab that was convertaded
to a pleasure boat and was sold and shipped to a boat dealer north of St. Louis and I understand went to LOTO.
The Third was Chuck Norris's 46 that was also rerigged
and went to the Owner of Pussers Rum on the Island of
TORTOLA in the B.V.I.

Papache,
I remember "Indigo" racing in the NJ area, didn't it start out as a Scarab that had a fire and was totaly rebuit? This boat was for sale about a year ago for 18,000. I always thought this was a cool looking boat!

I think I read on here somewhere that Ajac Hawk ended up in the islands somewhere....a very sad ending to such a great piece of history. Ajac Hawk was the 1st 37.5' Cigarette out of the mold...!
Here's a few old pics to remember her by. The first two are in 1978 when she was new at the World Championships in Mar Del Plata, Argentina. The one running is at '78 Benihana.

And I think Preston Henn's old "Natural Light" was redone like Sammy James's Old Bertram Comp Special pictured here.
Didn't I see it in "Hot Boat" last year in some Poker Run pictures??
