Thoughts on new CMI headers for the 496?
So, for starters - these numbers seem generous but they have to have some merritt to them I would suspect? Secondly - will these void the Merc factory warranty if installed on a new motor? (I'm thinking 485 hp w/ a 5 year warranty!?) If the numbers are right, this seems like the way to go in the right single or twin install vs. spending the big coin for the blue motors for a few more ponies!? Say 485 hp on average, closed cooling and great turn-key reliability!? Not to mention the savings... Just thinking out loud I guess.

I'm taking my chances & putting my faith & money in Cmi's and Trick Marines hands. I've got a Whipplesuperchager already so I can't help but think that it will help. If nothing else atleast the engine compartment should look better!

I'm waiting for the UPS truck to show up with some big boxes for me. It'll be just like Christmas. I'll call if I need anything. Thanks!
