Re: new help buying new boat
Best time to buy a new boat is right now. The 06's are comming out so the dealers will want to move the 05 inventory. Baja is your best bang for your buck. To run close to 70 mph you will need a 496 mag in a 23 OL or a 496 HO in a 25 OL. Dealers are offering special financing and incentives. Start looking now because when the 05 inventory is gone your price just jumped up 5% more.

You would need to know the hours on the boat to make a call on its value.
Advice:
ANY and EVERY new boat is going to have a few gremlins. They all do. That is what happens when you put together a boat with up to 200 different manufacturers parts in one end product. It happens. My advice would be to pick up something that has been taken care of very well, low hours, 1-3 seasons old, all the gremlins worked out, and remember not to overextend the tow rating of your tow vehicle.

Re: new help buying new boat
I WOULDN"T buy a brand new boat again,I'd buy something low hour used, you'll get a lot more for your money. I bought my baja 272 brand new in 2000,if i had it to do over again I would have bought a 2-3 year old boat, let someone else take the depreciation hit,Smitty
