Randy makes an awesome boat if you just want for fast, pure race, and no cabin or cockpit room. Nortech will build carbon fiber also. the boat with 1150's will still bust 160mph, very few places you can run that fast anyway. Daves MTI is actually a 39 modified to 40. Dont see any new skaters at Loto, but am seeing several Nortechs and Mti's. The final asset of the Nortech is that it is about 100k less money than Skater and MTI. insurance is very attainable on the Nortech up to around 850 hp, but a mti with 1350's hold on, can you say 16-20k year for insurance, that is if you have 3 years cat experience with a perfect record and no claims.

read prior posts regarding nortech as a possibility. They all 3 are great boats, been in all 3 of these , Give nortech a test drive I think you will be very suprised at its handling and performance.

Nortech is not in the picture at all. Nice boats for the luxury crusier crowd who want cuddies. If they are fast and handle so well why are they not raced?

Brad Z - I may be mistaken but I believe there is a closed canopy 36 Nor-tech that has been in at least a few races.

Real simple Brad.. WE DON'T WANT TO BUILD RACE BOATS! There, I said it. Race boats take a lot of time and energy that we don't have to make them competitive. Our market is for real world boaters that like to go out and use their boats for pleasure, have comfort, yet still be at the front of the pack when they choose. I believe our cat sales figures speak for themselves. Before you decide I would welcome you to test ride any of our boats and see for yourself.

All 3 brands are nice, Obviously!
But, If you're still undecided, call or go see Peter at Skater (all 3 owners for that matter) but ask Peter about the new 38 that is in construction. They also have a one piece windshield I would inquire about (but only if you care about you passengers). Some very nice and fast stuff will be coming out of Skater soon.
Heck, buy mine and I'll go talk to Peter about the new 38!!
Good luck!
